The Freizeit Arena Solden is a real find for tourists with children. The wide range of family activities means you can spend a whole day here. You won't be bored because almost all children, regardless of age, love to play in the water. But even parents won't mind spending a day in Austria swimming in the pool, enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of the conservatory or sunbathing on the terrace.
As well as entertainment, all the necessary facilities are provided. Showers, toilets, changing rooms, baby changing rooms, hairdryers — in general, the leisure arena has everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one.
Сomplex Areas
- Swimming pool. The main activity at the Freizeit Arena Solden is, of course, swimming. But there is more than one type of pool at your disposal:
- one large pool;
- a children's pool;
- pool with inflatable slides;
- wave pool;
- current pool;
- jacuzzi.
The water in children's pools does not contain chlorine or other harmful chemicals. It is heated to about 32°C. The depth of the pool is extremely shallow and the water level is about knee deep for a one-year-old, so it is safe for children to splash around in the warm water.
Next to the children's pool there's a play area with puzzles and fun activities for the little ones, as well as a small spiral slide.
There are also outdoor terraces next to the large communal pool where you can enjoy the warm summer weather and relax in the sun on a sun lounger.
Both the large pool and the children's pool are kept at 30°C, so they are comfortable to use even in winter. Many people even come here after skiing to warm up and relax.
The pool features an exotic cave with massage jets, bubble cushions and Jacuzzi effect couches.
- A relaxing conservatory. Take a break from active entertainment, stroll among the plants or simply sit in silence with a cup of aromatic coffee and enjoy the view in the conservatory.
- Sauna and spa. This spa complex includes:
- Finnish log sauna;
- steam and inhalation sauna (temperature +45-49 °C);
- infrared cabin;
- sanarium (a low-temperature and medium-humidity sauna that relaxes, normalises blood circulation, stabilises sleep, improves the nervous system, etc.; temperature 50 °C);
- tepidarium (dry Roman thermae, temperature +39 °C);
- solarium.
The aim of this zone is not only to relax, but also to revitalise the body, rejuvenate the skin, stabilise blood pressure and calm the nervous system. A visit to the sauna invigorates, revitalises and energises, strengthens the immune system, relieves tension and back pain and promotes detoxification.
Please note that the sauna is charged separately: a single session costs €23 and after 17:30 the price is €20. There is also an additional charge for the solarium. A solarium session costs €8 for 12 minutes or €70 for 10 sessions.
- Sports hall. The hall measures 45 × 27 metres. It also has wide bleachers, which makes it possible to hold competitions in the presence of spectators. The hall is equipped with goals and barriers for handball and floorball, mini-football and ice hockey. There are also changing rooms and showers for the convenience of visitors. Admission costs between €38 and €75 for 55 minutes (depending on the number of people).
- Tennis courts. Lovers of the sport will find two courts with granular surface and three clay courts outside the leisure arena, as well as free racket and ball hire. If you have never played tennis before but would like to learn, you are welcome to take lessons at the local Moitzi Tennis School. A visit to the tennis court costs €23 (1 court for 55 minutes). For 11 visits, you'll pay €210, which means that if you buy in bulk, you'll get almost two visits for free. Training sessions are paid for separately, with prices ranging from €30 to €60, the current price can be found on the website of the Freizeit Arena Solden.
- The bowling alley. There are four fully automatic lanes for children over 12 to play on. The bowling alley also has arcade games such as pinball, air hockey, table football and car racing. One lane for one hour costs 13 euros.
- Fitness Centre. Visitors will find treadmills, step machines, exercise bikes, elliptical trainers for aerobic exercise and weight training equipment. Experienced fitness trainers will provide an individual approach to each visitor. Admission with a pool session is €19 per person. Admission to the pool and sauna is €26.
- Ice rink. The winter facility is only open during the cold season. Guests of the Solden leisure arena can skate on the ice rink.
- Bistro. There is a food court overlooking the swimming pool. The menu includes burgers, pasta, salads, desserts, starters and a variety of drinks (juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, alcohol). Pool guests can also dine at tables by the water. The cost of lunch, including salad, soup and dessert, is approximately €20.
