PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park

PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park

Spain, Salou

The amusement park "PortAventura" is known not only in Spain. In addition to attractions, there is also a water park on its territory, reminiscent of a tropical island. It is worth planning a whole day to relax in the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. More than 50,000 m2 filled with fun for kids and adults.

Why is this water park called family-friendly? Because many attractions are immediately available to both children and adults. For example, two Barracudas slides are designed for two people to slide down, and a child of 1 m height can slide down in the company of one of the parents. You can ride the waves with the whole family in the Bermuda Triangle pool. And along the El Río Loco river, it is also better to raft in the company.

PortAventura Waterpark also has separate playgrounds for children. A pirate ship is anchored in the shallow pool of Sésamo Beach. Brave little filibusters can spot boats on the horizon or ride the slides. Another children's area is La Laguna Woody. Tunnels, ladders, slides, fountains and waterfalls will help you come up with dozens of games. The covered area provides shelter from the sun or the uninvited rain. There's a water playground for older children and Junior Body Slides for toddlers.

The Cayo Cookie playground has no age restrictions, just the willingness to get soaked. To the children's delight, water spouts out of the ground here and there, splashing everyone in the vicinity.

Eight rides are waiting for you at Costa Caribe Aquatic Park if you can join the rides for adults. The two twisting slides Mambo Limbo are suitable for those over 1.10 m tall and can be run on a twin toboggan. The exact height is also ideal for the El Torrente slide, a 200 m rafting chute the whole family uses. A height of 1.20m is a pass for the Rapid Race speed slide.

The rest of the water park slides are accessible only to teenagers and adults. El Tifón is a downhill ride through a spiralling tunnel. Ciclón Tropical is a 20-metre slide where you'll be propelled downhill by bouncing on trampolines. King Khajuna is the slide with the largest freefall in Europe. It is 31 metres high and has a 55-degree incline. Prefer to stay away from slides? Relax on a sun lounger at Bahama Beach or soak in the warm waters of the Playa Paraiso pool.

There are restaurants and cafés within the water park. If you visit the PortAventura water park in addition to the Costa Caribe, you'll have a memorable family holiday in the Costa Daurada.
