Every year, millions of travellers choose the best holiday destinations worldwide. In 2014 and 2015, Siam Park Tenerife, near Costa Adeje, won the Travellers' Choice of water parks.
Nearly every attraction has the prefix 'the most': the tallest artificial wave for surfing, the longest 'Lazy River', the grandest dragon statue and the most beautiful replicas of Thai landmarks (after which the park is named). This place can potentially become the crown jewel of Tenerife's family holiday programme.
In the conditions of eternal spring, the Canary Water Park is open all year round. And to make swimming in the pools comfortable, the water in them is desalinated and heated to + 24-25 ° С.
This Tenerife water park has almost 30 different slides. Moreover, the Sawasdee playground has smaller copies of adult water attractions, including the Dragon Slide. And in the vast gaming area of The Lost City, the slides are completely small, but there is a lot of other entertainment there (some manage to count more than a hundred games).
Parents and kids can also relax on Siam Beach next to a large but not deep pool. Don't forget to look at the fur seals that have their swimming pool. And if you get comfortable on the ride and trust the flow of the Lazy River, it will carry you past all the water park attractions. In one place, your inflatable raft will turn into a submarine — you will fall into a tunnel and see fish that do not notice the lively bustle reigning around.
But most of the attractions of Siam Park Tenerife are designed for teenagers and adults. The park organisers took care to evoke powerful emotions in visitors. For example, have you ever looked at the steep stairs of Buddhist temples and thought: what if you have to fall? On the attraction The Tower of Power you are just waiting for a fall; instead of a ladder, there will be a steep slide. A moment of free fall will be replaced by sliding inside an aquarium with sharks.
Get ready to scream in horror as you race past the eerie, grinning mouth of a dragon on The Dragon (it's good that four of you can go down here at once). And going down the Kinnaree Hill is like fighting a giant tropical snake — you don't know what the next turn will be or how high it will throw you after the descent… try to emerge victorious from this fight!
In 2015, Siam Park added another adrenaline-pumping ride, Singh, which is predicted to be the fastest water rollercoaster in the world. But The Giant, Mekong Rapids, Jungle Snakes and Naga Racer are more fun than thrilling. Many of these are accessible even to primary school-age children; some are suitable for family descents.
If you haven't been windsurfing before coming to Tenerife, Siam Waterpark allows you to learn the art. There's a Surf School, and you can learn how to surf in the artificial wave pool. Waves are up to 3 metres high.
A peculiarity of the park's main attractions is the long queues. A Fast Pass ticket helps avoid wasting time. However, if a family trip to Tenerife does not fall in high season, you won't have to deal with the queues. To add: Sometimes people look for "Siam Park" in Las Americas in Tenerife. It's about an equal distance from Costa Adeje and Las Américas.
