Accommodation
Campers stay in cozy, air-conditioned cabins designed to foster comfort and connection. Each cabin houses 10–12 campers with dedicated counselors living in the same space to offer support and supervision around the clock.
Cabins are clean and modern, with private bathrooms featuring full showers, toilets, and sinks. Bunks are sturdy and comfortable, with plenty of space for campers’ personal belongings. Each cabin group quickly feels like a little family, with shared routines, games, and nightly reflections.
Every detail — from the layout to the staff presence — encourages both independence and togetherness, ensuring campers feel safe, cared for, and at home while away from home.
Meals
The camp dining experience is as fun as it is filling. Meals are served family-style in a cheerful, air-conditioned dining hall where campers and staff eat together. The menu includes plenty of kid favorites like pasta, tacos, burgers, and grilled chicken, along with salad bars, fruit, and vegetarian options.
Each meal is designed to balance taste and nutrition, keeping campers energized throughout their action-packed days. Special dietary needs, including allergies and vegetarian or gluten-free diets, are accommodated with care and attention.
Snack time is built into the day, ensuring that growing campers always have the fuel they need to keep going. Whether it’s breakfast pancakes or campfire s’mores, food is a highlight at Canyon Creek.
Safety
Canyon Creek prioritizes camper safety in every aspect of camp life. The staff is carefully trained in emergency procedures, first aid, and child supervision. With a high counselor-to-camper ratio, each child receives the attention and oversight they need to feel secure and supported.
All activities—from rock climbing to horseback riding—are led by experienced, certified instructors who emphasize proper technique, safety gear, and clear instructions. The camp maintains strict supervision policies, curfews, and check-in routines throughout the day.
Parents can relax knowing that safety isn’t an afterthought—it’s at the heart of every activity, cabin interaction, and camp tradition.
Health & Medicine
A fully equipped health center is located on-site and staffed by licensed medical professionals throughout each session. The camp nurse handles everything from daily medications to minor injuries and illnesses.
If a camper requires medical attention beyond camp resources, the local urgent care and hospital facilities are just minutes away. The camp team keeps parents informed of any medical concerns and works closely with families on individual health needs before arrival.
Health forms are collected in advance to ensure every camper’s well-being is carefully managed. Whether it’s sunscreen reminders or hydration checks, the health team keeps everyone safe, healthy, and ready for fun.
Camp Traditions
Tradition is what makes Canyon Creek unforgettable. Campers look forward to spirited Color Wars, themed dress-up days, talent shows, and all-camp campfires filled with music and laughter. Evening programs often end with “Spirit Circle,” where campers reflect on their day and share gratitude and stories.
Every summer, Canyon Creek hosts “Olympic Day,” a highlight event filled with friendly competition, cheering, and teamwork. Birthday celebrations, skits, and the beloved closing campfire give campers memories they’ll hold onto long after camp ends.
These traditions connect returning and new campers alike, creating a sense of belonging that lasts far beyond the summer.
