FCA Chillicothe Power Camp

FCA Chillicothe Power Camp

United States, Chillicothe

Overview

Drawing inspiration from the fairways and putting greens, FCA Chillicothe Power Camp offers an alluring fusion of golf and spirituality. This camp serves as a haven for young golfers who are keen on honing their sporting skills while embarking on a spiritual journey. The camp's vision is to present athletes with the thrilling adventure of embracing Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, and to encourage them to serve Him in all their relationships. This mission is a testament to the camp's focus on developing not just the golfer, but the whole person. The history of the camp is steeped in rich tradition. The camp's roots can be traced back to the first Director of the FCA Golf Ministry, Capt. Bill Lewis. He, along with LPGA Tour Pros such as Murle Breer, Beth Stone, and Joyce Benson, laid the groundwork for the camp's spiritual foundation. Moreover, the camp's legacy includes hosting the first FCA Junior Golf Camp at the Pine Needles Lodge & Country Club. The event was highlighted by the presence of "Bullet" & Peggy Kirk Bell, Tour Pro Larry Nelson, and Coach Conrad Rehling, who provided insightful guidance to the junior golfers. The camp also takes pride in organizing the first FCA "Breakfast with the Pros" during the Memorial Tournament in Columbus, OH. This event, with Tour Pro Larry Nelson as the featured speaker, was a hit and saw a remarkable attendance of 170 golf enthusiasts. FCA Chillicothe Power Camp, therefore, offers an enticing blend of golf, fellowship, and faith, all set against the backdrop of a welcoming and nurturing environment. So, for families looking for a wholesome and enriching summer experience for their kids, this camp makes for an excellent choice.
