Through the ages, J Camp Omaha has been a beacon of tradition, fun, and community. A time-honored jewel that's been sparkling for the past 86 years, it's an adventure steeped in Jewish culture and values. This camp takes pride in its history. The journey began in the summer of 1939 when it was born under the auspices of the Jewish Federation of Omaha. Since then, the camp's name and locations have morphed, mirroring the ever-evolving world around it. Originally known as “Camp Jay-C-C”, J Camp Omaha has adapted with the times, continuously updating its activities to keep pace with children’s ever-changing interests. Yet, despite these changes, the camp's core mission remains the same. Their primary aim is to offer an unforgettable experience that goes beyond fun and games. They strive to instill in young hearts an appreciation for deeper values and traditions, fostering a sense of community that lasts long after the summer ends. At J Camp Omaha, kids don't just pass time, they grow, learn, and play. They swim in the deep end of cultural enrichment, soaking up the nuances of Jewish heritage. Each day brims with activities that are not only entertaining but also meaningful, allowing campers to forge strong bonds with their peers while simultaneously strengthening their connection to their roots.
